Haru wasn't big on giving out Christmas gifts. He no longer believed that handing out material things was a true way to express how you felt. Words or actions were needed.
Unfortunately, in recent times, the proper words were hard to come by for him.
"There's so many things I want to say to so many people, but I just can't get them to come out." He sighed to himself as he sat on the roof of the Haiken Shrine. It was the place he went to be alone and think. Few others ventured there unless they were in search of him.
This time of year was full of joy and togetherness, both of which Haru had no interest at the moment. All he wanted was to be left by himself.
"The village is so full of hustle and bustle. People running around like crazy trying to find that perfect present for each person they know." Words were spoken a loud for no one to hear.
Reflexively his hand moved to his pocket.
Only his twin Aki would be getting a present from him this year. "How could I not get something for her, though?" The sandy-blonde asked himself shaking his locks. "She's always been the one there for me. Always the one helping me find the words through all the pain."
And it was true.
His twin sister Aki was his saving grace over the last while. A shoulder to lean on. A soothing balm to his wounds. The light during his eclipse.
"Hey Apollo." The familiar voice called up to him using his name from their inside joke. "We're going to be late if you don't come down now."
Although he wasn't interested in socializing tonight, he'd do it for her.
"Sure thing Artemis." Haru replied with a light chuckle, still holding the only present he'd bothered with.
